SoulCycle’s national #NoMoExcuses initiative aims to get men more physically active. The campaign aligns with Movember’s MOVE initiative, which encourages men and women to commit to getting active this Movember, Being active is one of the best things you can do for your health. Research shows that physical activity will reduce risks of heart disease, diabetes, and cancer by up to 50%.
SoulCycle will call on its community of riders to support men’s health by asking them to engage in #NoMoExcuses. Through a social media campaign, SoulCycle will post a photographic lineup of Bros along with typical excuses to skip exercising. The SOUL community will be called to action to tag their male friends and colleagues on the image of the Bro with the same excuse they’ve heard them use to get out of working out. Once tagged, a challenge is initiated for the tagged Bro to take a SoulCycle class, and get moving! As an incentive and to support the challenge, SoulCycle will invite all male riders to take their first class free at all 32 studios across the country.
The SoulCycle community will also be able to challenge a Bro to ride by entering their email address on the http://www.SoulCycle/NoMoExcuses.com landing page. Once submitted the Bro will receive an email from SoulCycle saying that they have been challenged to take their first SoulCycle class by another rider (whose name will also appear in the email). SoulCycle will invite the Bro to take a SoulCycle class for free. As an added incentive to get first time Bros on a bike, SoulCycle will give everyone who referred a Bro a free class too, once that Bro rides.
The SoulCycle #NoMoExcuses campaign will take place throughout the month of November. During which SoulCycle will offer a series of male-focused theme rides, including “Moustached Musicians” and “Jock Jams.”
An ardent advocate for men’s health, SoulCycle’s #NoMoExcuses initiative marks the second year that SoulCycle has supported Movember.
The SoulCycle Experience: Over 10,000 riders take part in SoulCycle classes everyday to release stress, burn fat, tone muscle, and change their bodies and lives. The SoulCycle experience is high energy, joyful, results-oriented, and community based. At SoulCycle, riders engage in a high intensity cardio experience (burning between 500-700 calories in 45-minutes) while also toning their upper bodies using hand weights and practice core-engaging choreography. The exercise program focuses on rhythm, and the “energy of the pack,” which creates a strong bond between instructors and riders. Rides take place to one-of-a-kind playlists, which set the tone for a unique new experience every ride. SoulCycle classes are held in candlelit studios allowing riders to take a journey and lose themselves in the workout. It enables riders to set an intention that is reinforced by the inspirational coaching of the instructor.
With over 32 locations nationwide, SoulCycle has established itself as the leading indoor cycling brand and attracts everyone from editors, celebrities, young professionals, and captains of industry to outdoor cyclists and fitness enthusiasts. Familiar faces at SoulCycle studios include Oprah, Madonna, Lady Gaga, Olivia Wilde, and Bradley Cooper. SoulCycle is expected to expand to upwards of 60 locations over the next two years with additional studios in New York, Los Angeles, London, and beyond.
